Friends School Virtual Grandparents & Grandfriends Day 2021!

Grandparents and Grandfriends Day is a treasured tradition at Friends School. Even though we are not able to meet for this special event on campus yet again; we still want to show our gratitude by giving a heart warming thank you to those who pour their time, love, energy, and resources into our students and school. We are hopeful this will be the last year we have to host this event virtually. First, please take a moment to watch a welcome message from Head of School, Mike Barclay.

Next, our art teacher, James O'Connor, guided us through a community wide Meeting for Worship. What you’ll find is the colorful cheerfulness that comes from an art project that every student at the school had a hand in.  The project focused on uncovering light from the darkness while searching for harmony and balance. At the end, the students tell us how they find light within the darkness. It is absolutely priceless!

Then, view our "Day in the Life" videos that provide a glimpse into the day to day activities happening here on campus, along with musical performances lead by music teacher Caitlin Fisher from each grade level.

Lastly, we have a Library Book Dedication Program for you to check out! This program provides new books for the school library collection as well as builds excitement and motivation for our early readers. For $35, your student will be able to select a new book of their choosing with librarian Courtney Grew, and we will honor your support by putting a dedication plaque from you in the inside cover. Although you haven't been able to visit the school in person for Grandparents and Grandfriends Day, we want you to feel involved and part of the community.
