With the belief that each person has the capacity to be good, see the light of God within themselves, and put that truth to use - we've developed a system that ensures each student graduates with a strong sense of self-worth needed to succeed in the future.
Quaker Values
A VBFS education is rooted in the Quaker Testimonies: Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality, and Stewardship - or S.P.I.C.E.S. as we like to call it. These testimonies serve as a unique foundation that teaches our students to view the world through a much larger lens.
Stewardship
From an early age, every VBFS student learns the importance of local and global conservation. From planting marsh grasses that combat shoreline erosion to learning how to actively protect our local water systems - our students are wholly committed to environmental stewardship not only in the classroom, but in our neighboring communities as well.
