Dear Friends School Families… Welcome!
The Friends School faculty and staff have been busy preparing for students’ arrival next week. As Virginia Beach Friends School enters its 67th year of operations, we are all looking to the 2022-23 academic year with excitement. The teachers, staff, and administration cannot wait to see students again!
As a reminder, on Monday, August 22nd, Friends School will host an All Students and Family Meet and Greet from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This event is for students and parents (new and old) to stop by the school, say hi to their teachers and friends, and simply get acquainted with being on campus. Parking will be tight for the event. Parents should feel free to park and enter VBFS from the Donna Drive entrance, as well as the Laskin Road entrance.
The first day of school is Tuesday, August 23rd. Parents may drop students off as early as 7:45. The school day begins at 8:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm. During student pick-up, parents may start forming a car line as early as 2:50 pm. Please make sure your child’s window hanging tag is clearly visible in your car’s front window.
All VBFS families must have the required paperwork filled out on PCR in order for students to start school on Tuesday. If any family has a question about this, please find a VBFS administrator during the All Student and Family Meet and Greet to help answer questions.
